Soda: Tarax, Sprite

Soda and milk bar memorabilia are amongst our favourites. From the iconic Fanta orange to the long lost taste of TAB, these signs bring back childhood memories of weekends spent heading to the milk bar for a soft drink and a Sunnyboy.

Hand painted on steel locally sourced from the Yarra Valley, these signs measures approximately 600x410mm (larger sizes can be made to order) and is aged by hand in front and back.

A word on Tarax…

Kicking off in the late 1800s, the Tarax lemonade company was one of the last remaining “wholly Australian owned” companies by the mid 1960s and brought us the flavours of our childhood including Sunshine Pine, Sno Top, Pineapple and Raspberry.

This Tarax sign takes you straight back to the Australian owned company’s milk bar days of the 1960s.

On Sprite…

The Sprite brand was first introduced as “clear Lemon Fanta” and reached the shores of the US in 1961 where it was renamed Sprite. This sign is based on the company’s classic green 1961 – 1964 logo.

SHIPPING

Sign fabrication takes approximately two weeks for 2D signs and three weeks for 3D signs depending on busy periods and materials. Delivery is dependent on location. If you require your sign in a hurry, please contact us BEFORE purchasing to find out if we can ship expediently.
